HOST A UKPSA MATCH

Competition is at the heart of what the UKPSA was created to support. We encourage all our affiliated clubs to run matches of all sizes and ambition, from L1 matches (at the club level) up to L3 matches (International) and potentially above.

We support this in a variety of ways. Firstly, we have the Match Directors’ Handbook (or MDH). This document was revised in 2024 and contains a step-by-step guide for anyone looking to hold a match, regardless of scope. It has links within it to other useful documents and will be updated as required so that the advice remains current.

We held a seminar in March 2025 for those that were interested to learn about the MDH and discuss holding matches at their clubs. We will repeat this as it was popular and advertise dates once they are known. A copy of the presentation that was given is to be found here.

 

Finally, we have an email address, competitionsec@ukpsa.org that you can use for any questions you might have relating to matches. The Competition Secretary will be happy to advise you of the overall Match Calendar so that if you are planning to hold a L2 or L3 match, you can avoid clashes with other major matches. They will also assist with any queries and put you in touch with relevant people as required. They can also assist with securing Match Officials for you.
