IPSC .22LR HANDGUN
Keeping the Legacy Alive in Great Britain

Developed for UK shooters after the 1997 handgun restrictions, IPSC .22LR Handgun maintains practical pistol competition using specialized Long Barrelled Pistols (LBPs).
Chambered in affordable .22LR, these UK-legal firearms feature extended barrels and fixed stocks while delivering authentic IPSC challenges: speed, precision, and dynamic stage strategy. Despite UK restrictions, the UKPSA actively supports members competing overseas - whether using pistols stored in Europe or borrowing equipment legally abroad. This enables UK representation at international matches, including sponsored teams at European and World Championships.
The UKPSA also supports long-barrelled revolvers in competitions using IPSC Handgun rules. These matches allow UK shooters to develop skills required for IPSC handgun shooting with full-bore pistols.
Our approved .22LR Handgun discipline, operating under specific IPSC derogations, enables the GB Region to host its first Level 3 (International) match in 2025 - the first since the handgun ban.
