Constitution, Terms of Reference, Bylaws, Policies and Information
Foreword
Bylaws, Terms of Reference, Policies, and Manuals and Information Sheets are categories of documents that contribute to the comprehensive governance of the Association, building upon the UKPSA's Constitution
-
Bylaws are foundational, rule-oriented documents governing the organisation's structure and operations. They are adopted by Charity Board resolution and require a two-thirds majority for adoption, with the Charity Board holding ultimate authority over their interpretation and application.
-
Terms of Reference define the purpose, structure, objectives, and operation of administrative committees. They require a two-thirds majority for adoption by either the Charity Board or the Sports Council (for those in the Shooting section).
-
Policies provide operational guidance or principles for day-to-day decisions and actions. They are approved by either the Charity Board or the Sports Council (for those in the Shooting section).
-
Manuals and information sheets offer useful data related to the UKPSA and are created and approved by a suitable group of individuals as authorised by the owner.
These documents are under review, further links will be added as the documents are created, updated and approved.
The UKPSA Constitution was adopted by the Membership at the AGM in June 2025. It provides the outline governance of the Association and can only be changed by a two-thirds majority at a General Meeting. The Charity Board holds ultimate authority over the interpretation and application of the Constitution.
