IPSC RIFLE
Ultimate Challenge of Long Range Precision

IPSC Rifle is a popular, dynamic and challenging discipline in practical shooting, requiring competitors to demonstrate precision, speed, and control over varied courses of fire including long-range accuracy.
In Great Britain, the availability of rifle ranges and regulations limiting shooters to manual-action rifles have made it challenging to fully engage in this discipline domestically. Whilst IPSC Rifle recognises four principal divisions, only two of these can be legally used in the UK because of the restriction on the use of semi-automatic centrefire rifles. GB shooters do compete with semi-automatic firearms; however, they must rely on firearms that are owned or stored outside the United Kingdom, with specific arrangements in place to access them for training abroad.
The GB Region has nonetheless been able to support teams in attending major overseas matches, most recently the 2024 Rifle World Shoot in Finland.
