Charity Board Update

We wanted to update on what your Charity Board has been doing in the last month  and what’s coming next!  

Lead Ban:

We are moving fast on our strategy to challenge the lead ban;

• Appointing a Legal Counsel, who is a shooter and providing his services pro bono.

• Developing links with other organisations to fight together

• Contacting the HSE directly

• Starting a fighting fund toward legal action

We have a unique opportunity to challenge the proposed legislation. This is your chance to make a difference by donating to our fund. The fund will be held as restricted reserves, meaning it can only be used for the intended purpose.

Strategic Objectives:

The Charity Board has produced 3 year Strategic Objectives and we would like your feedback. These Objectives have been formed from the Mission statement we shared as part of the overall UKPSA Strategy.

Now we have developed 8 Strategic Objectives for the Association which link to the Mission Statement.

Your Input Matters: We said we would ask you for your feedback on key goals for the Association. 

This is your chance to shape our priorities—please tell us what you think about our strategic objectives. Are these taking the Association in the right direction?  Are there other objectives you feel we should be focussing on?

What’s Next?

We’re taking a little extra time to make sure everything is set up in the best possible way, which has put things slightly behind the original timeline. Both the Charity Board and the Interim Sports Council are working closely to define the structure of the Sports Council, setting us up to meet our goal of holding elections at the end of September and we expect to share individual objectives, and a clear outline of the Sports Council’s structure within the next 2-3 weeks.
