Mini Rifle World Shoot II - Buzsák, Hungary - 2028

I am very honoured to be asked to undertake the role of Mini Rifle National Squad Director for the next World Shoot. I learned a great deal supporting the National Squad for this year's MRWS in the Czech Republic, some things I will do the same, some things I will do very differently.
I’m very keen to start the focus on the 2028 World Shoot. In 2026 I will publish a more detailed brief which will include the selection criteria. However for 2026, for those interested in selection for the World Shoot I would strongly recommend that you plan to compete in at least 75% of the available level II and level III mini rifle matches. I would also recommend, for those who have not done so, that experience of an international level III match is highly recommended, although not mandatory.
Key to selection and preparation for a World Shoot is matches. The UKPSA is working hard to support and encourage clubs to put on matches for our members. But clubs also need the support of their own members to do so. My ask is that we all do what we can to support our own clubs to put on matches, they don’t just happen and need people to muck-in, there’s always something people can do to support a match, every little helps. This will be especially important for 2027 and 2028, we need matches.
If anyone has any questions or ideas please feel free to contact me.
