UKPSA is proud to congratulate our own Martyn Spence (IROA) and Justin Cooper (Handgun – NSD) who recently travelled to South Africa to represent Great Britain at the 2025 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XX. Their dedication, focus and performance on the world stage reflect extremely well on British practical shooting.
The 2025 IPSC Handgun World Shoot was held at the Frontier Shooting Range, near Matlosana in the North West Province of South Africa. This was a truly global event — over 1,800 competitors from about 50 nations took part, across multiple divisions and categories. Competitors faced 30 designed stages spread over five shooting areas
The 2025 World Shoot also coincided with the IPSC General Assembly held in Klerksdorp, South Africa on 20 September, where key future decisions for IPSC were discussed, which Martyn attended on behalf of the UKPSA.
Justin Cooper placed 136th overall in production optics with a match percentage of 70.46% off Eric Grauffel, World champion- a very strong result. In the Senior category, Justin achieved an excellent 25th place.
Despite multiple gun issues, Martyn competed in the SS class (Senior) placing 386th overall
2025 was an extremely busy year for ISPC with 2 world shots and a European competition and we look forward to more UKPSA athletes travelling to level 4 and level 5 competitions in 2026.
